Install Mbstring on Amazon Linux 2
Step 1. Install mbstring.
sudo yum install php-mbstring
Step 2. Depending on your set up you will need to restart your PHP-FPM service or Apache server.
sudo service php-fpm restart sudo service httpd restart
Step 3. To install mbstring for a specific PHP version, let’s say php80.
sudo yum install php80-php-mbstring
